05/24/2005     THE BEAUTY OF BUCKS COUNTY: Bucks County Visitors Center Welcomes Local Artist

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – On Thursday, June 16 the Bucks County Visitor Center and the New Hope Arts Commission will feature a retrospective of David Frame’s artwork, used as magazine covers for Bucks County Town & Country Living magazine. The June 16 event is open to media, but closed to general public. Bucks County Town & Country Living will provide free food and refreshments.

The exhibit will run for six weeks following the June 16 event, and is open to the public.

Bill Waite, publisher of Bucks County Town & Country Living magazine said, “We are thrilled and honored to be able to exhibit the magazine covers at the Bucks County Visitors Center, and glad to feature David Frame’s work as well.”

The works in this exhibit will include original paintings and limited edition prints by David Frame from 1993 to the present. Included are two important originals: A multiple drawing of Reggie White, Football Hall of Fame Contender, signed by Reggie-John 3:16; and the original cover painting of Smarty Jones, Bucks County’s Kentucky Derby winner!

Paul Licitra, from the New Hope Arts Commission said, “This exhibit is a great highlight for Bucks County Town & Country Living magazine. We are so pleased with the magazine and David Frame is an excellent artist.”

David Frame will be giving away 100 copies of a limited edition, signed and numbered print titled Endless Summer created especially for this event.

More about the presenter:

David Frame is an award-winning Bucks County, Pennsylvania artist who works in multiple media and handles a wide range of subject matter. His work displays the proficiency of an artist who is highly skilled and exceptionally creative at the same time. Technical diversity is the hallmark of David's work, choosing his medium/technique, palette, brushwork and composition to suit his subject.

In 1993 David met with Bill and Bob Waite, publishers of Bucks County Town and Country Magazine. They proposed a unique idea: to use David Frame's original art for the covers of the magazine. The rest, as they say, "is history". What started as an experiment has become the magazine's trademark. He became Bucks County Town & Country Living magazine’s Artist-in-Residence.
