11/24/2004     SMARTY JONES MEMORABILIA ON DISPLAY AT BUCKS COUNTY VISITOR CENTER

WHAT:             

Saddle cloths, horseshoes and halters worn by Smarty Jones during such championships as the Preakness and Kentucky Derby; personal ticket stubs belonging to the Servis family; a 3-minute Smarty Jones highlights film sponsored by VISA; and various photographs of the award-winning horse will be on view at the Bucks County Visitor Center in Bensalem. On Saturday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. trainer John Servis will be available for autographs and photos with his trophies.

 

WHEN:            

The display opens to the public on Saturday, December 4, 2004 and will stay on view through February 2005. The Visitor Center is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

 

WHERE:          

The Bucks County Visitor Center, 3207 Street Road, Bensalem, PA.

Easily accessible from the PA Turnpike, Route 1 and Interstate 95, the Visitor Center is adjacent to the entrance to Philadelphia Park Racetrack.

Gift items inspired by Smarty Jones will be available for purchase at the Bucks County Visitor Center throughout the holiday season.
