08/10/2004     BUCKS COUNTY CONFERENCE & VISITORS BUREAU DEBUTS NEWLY DESIGNED AND ENHANCED WEB SITE

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The Bucks County Conference & Visitors Bureau, Inc. (BCCVB) proudly announces the launch of a newly designed and enhanced Web site serving as the official Bucks County, Pennsylvania tourism resource at www.ExperienceBucksCounty.com. Highlights of the user-friendly site include detailed information on lodging, restaurants, shopping and attractions; a comprehensive calendar of events; special promotions, packages and coupons; and scenic photo tours. Meeting and event planners will find on-line assistance in locating unique and distinctive facilities, while group tour operators can now find sensitive pricing information and tour descriptions in the password-protected Group Tour Manual.

“Our research indicates that 69% of visitors to Bucks County use our Web site to plan vacations and weekend getaways,” says Kim Puhalla, Marketing Director for the BCCVB. “We’re thrilled to now offer travelers the ability to conveniently book accommodations and plan itineraries directly through the site.”

Keith Toler, Executive Director of the BCCVB adds, “We see ExperienceBucksCounty.com as an organic and state-of-the-art resource which will be continually updated for potential visitors interested in finding out the latest information on traveling to Bucks County. To that end, we plan on installing streaming video and 360 degree photo tours to the site within the next few months.”

The BCCVB will also continue the development of an on-line wedding planner; an on-line “film office” for producers and scouts looking for the perfect Bucks County location; updated hiking, biking and driving tours; a section devoted to gay-friendly travel information; a section focused on African American heritage; and a “press room” featuring news releases, story ideas and photography available for the media.

In designing www.ExperienceBucksCounty.com, the BCCVB divided the county into three regions: Heritage (Lower Bucks), Cultural (Central) and Lakes (Upper). As Bucks County consists of 608 square miles of diverse landscapes with many single-lane, winding country roads, visitors are often surprised by the time it takes to travel short distances. All attractions, accommodations, restaurants and services on the Web site are now listed within their particular region, thereby allowing visitors to make informed decisions when preparing their itineraries.

The BCCVB’s new Web site was created through a partnership with CVBTV.COM. Offering a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, technological expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the travel and tourism industry, CVBTV.COM designs, builds, and maintains powerful Internet solutions for destination marketing organizations.
