BUCKS COUNTY, PA - In celebration of National Tourism Week, the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau, Inc. (BCCVB) released its new feature orientation film “Discover Bucks County” to its members and distinguished guests this afternoon. The inaugural showing of the film took place in the theatre of the new Bucks County Visitor Center on Street Road in Bensalem.
Among the featured guests at the film premiere were the starring actors as well as members of the production team. The movie was projected on the big screen by a digital projection system.
"Today's event was a perfect way to kick off National Tourism Week and also a great way to showcase our newest production," said Keith Toler, Executive Director of the BCCVB. "A lot of hard work went into making this film such a success and it would not have been possible without the help of Senator Tomlinson, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and the members of the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau. We believe the visitors to Bucks County will enjoy it as much as we do."
“Discover Bucks County” is a 15-minute feature orientation film that highlights the heritage and many of the diverse sites and attractions of the 600-square-mile county. The film is intended to be shown to visitors as they enter the Visitor Center to help them plan their stay in Bucks County. Shadow Box Pictures in Yardley completed production of the film from start to finish entirely in Bucks County.
The Bucks County Visitor Center is located at 3207 Street Road in Bensalem and is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. It is easily accessible from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Route 1 and Interstate 95. The Visitor Center not only features the 150-seat theatre, but also a gift shop as well as meeting space.
The Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau, Inc., is the official tourist promotion agency for Bucks County. The mission of the BCCVB is to increase visitation in Bucks County by effectively marketing its heritage and its diverse sites and attractions.
