Who is looking at the BCCVB web site?
There were 2,252,061 successful hits for the entire BCCVB site during third quarter. Of these individuals most connected on Mondays during the lunch hour looking for accommodation and sightseeing information. And where are the coming from? The top five states represented were Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Connecticut.

Performance Indicators

March 2003 gave the Northeast and other non-fly destinations a boost over the previous year as well as over the previous month. Bucks County saw a 1.7% increase in occupancy, with lower Bucks performing the best with a 5.5% increase in occupancy over the previous year. The ADR County-wide was $75.03, up .8% over last year and Revpar was up 2.5%. Regionally, occupancy was up anywhere from .9% around the airport to 14.4% in Montgomery County. The largest increase in occupancy is in the luxury and upscale properties. However, these same properties saw a 16.3% drop in ADR. Bucks County, Southern New Jersey, and Center City were the only areas in the region with an increase in ADR. Nationwide, hotel room demand was down .4%, occupancy was down 2%, receipts were down 1.4% and overall employment was down 1.6%. Airlines suffered worse than hotels with domestic air RPMs down 3%, International down 10.7%, total Enplanements were down 5.5% with a decreased load factor of 2.7% and employment down by 3.5%. Amtrak showed an increase of 2.9% in March. Gas receipts were up 18.9% with prices coming down on average .3%. Restaurants continue to do well, with receipts up 5.3% over last year and employment down 1.8%. National Park visitation is also down in overnight by 6.3% and day visits 6.5%.
