Join Henry Mercer’s favorite dog, Rollo, on a hands-on, interactive adventure in search of “escaped” animal artifacts from the museum’s collection. Along the way, children will encounter a curious collection of creatures – owl-shaped andirons, rocking horses, pottery dogs, rabbit chocolate molds, an alligator hand puppet, and many more. Designed especially for children ages 3 to 8.

“A Great Way to Meet New People.”  Join an experienced bird watcher every Saturday morning for early morning bird walks.  These walks are a great way to meet new people and enjoy casual conversation with other bird enthusiasts.  Bring along binoculars and a bird identification book, if you have them.

Peddler’s Village announces the newest show in it Murder Mystery Dinner Theater program in Peddler’s Pub at the Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant.  Presented by Without a Cue productions, this event runs Friday and Saturday evenings through December 18.

An exhibit showcasing artwork from new and emerging artists, to recognize and establish artists, nationally and regionally located.  Twelve artists will be dispelling the myth that original art is un-affordable.  All pieces will be priced at $500 or less and can be purchased immediately for the holiday gift season.  Opening reception will take place on November 7^th, coinciding with Downtown Easton’s 1^st Sunday events.

Silhouette artist Blanche Turner will demonstrate the art of silhouette cutting and create individual portraits.  Have a custom silhouette created as a personalized gift and family memento.  Call to make reservations for sitting.

A Holiday brass band parades Santa to the log house, where he will hold court for the evening.  Elsewhere around the museum, enjoy singers, quartets, hot cider, and burn away your years’ cares in the annual burning of the greens.

Join us for a special evening guided tour of Fonthill and experience the castle as it takes on a candlelight glow for the holidays.

Parents are invited to bring along their camera to take pictures with Santa.  The visit with Santa will be followed by a holiday ornament craft program.  Children ages 4-8 are invited to head out onto the nature center’s trails to find natural materials to make holiday ornaments.  We will return to the nature center with our collection to create a small work of art to decorate your home or tree.  Craft program begins at 1 pm and space is limited.  Pre-registration is required for the craft program.  Meet at the CNC Farmhouse Classroom.
