Join Henry Mercer’s favorite dog, Rollo, on a hands-on, interactive adventure in search of “escaped” animal artifacts from the museum’s collection. Along the way, children will encounter a curious collection of creatures – owl-shaped andirons, rocking horses, pottery dogs, rabbit chocolate molds, an alligator hand puppet, and many more. Designed especially for children ages 3 to 8.

“A Great Way to Meet New People.”  Join an experienced bird watcher every Saturday morning for early morning bird walks.  These walks are a great way to meet new people and enjoy casual conversation with other bird enthusiasts.  Bring along binoculars and a bird identification book, if you have them.

Peddler’s Village announces the newest show in it Murder Mystery Dinner Theater program in Peddler’s Pub at the Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant.  Presented by Without a Cue productions, this event runs Friday and Saturday evenings through December 18.

Features paintings by Al Lachman and sculpture by Andrew Logan.  It is an all nude painting and sculpture exhibit.

Before or after you vote, visit this timely exhibit featuring rare posters, buttons, ribbons and other printed media from campaigns past.  The show explores common themes, symbols and images used to promote presidential candidates from early 1800s through the twentieth century.  Developed, researched and designed entirely by area high school students, the exhibit is presented in collaboration with Kids Voting Southeast Pennsylvania, a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to educating and engaging young people in the electoral process, and increasing civic awareness.

In her new annual birthday show, Day offers audience favorites as well as new material, with musical direction and accompaniment by Christopher Marlowe. 

Discover the exciting world of antique hand tools at this fun family program.  Kids of all ages enjoy supervised hands-on learning with old-fashioned tools including spoke shave, plane, drawknife, and drill press along with making a handmade craft to take home.  A participatory presentation highlighting mystery tool “Whatsits” will be offered at 10:30, noon, and 1:30.  Pre-registration is encouraged.  $1 off general admission price if you pre-register. 

In conjunction with the museum’s Antique Tool Discovery, the Log House will open and costumed interpreter Connie Unangst will be discussing and demonstrating the use of antique kitchen tools.
