The Pearl S. Buck House and Historic Site will reopen for the 2008 season on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, with a special exhibit entitled "70th. Anniversary of Pearl S. Buck's Nobel Prize". Buck was the first of only two American woman awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. During this time, visitors will be able to view the actual Nobel Prize medal, rare photos, literary correspondence and memoirs highlighting this debut exhibit. Plus, as an added bonus, the recently rediscovered "famous letters" will still be on display, with letters from notable luminaries like Harry Truman, E. B. White and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Enjoy the beautiful autumn colors over the length of our entire Railroad on a 35 mile, 2 1/2 hour round trip from New Hope Station to Septa's Warminster station. The "Shoppers Express" passengers have the option to board at the Warminster station (Jacksonville Road in Warminster) and lay over in New Hope for three hours enjoying the sights, shops and restaurants of the historic town. This trip available Saturdays and Sundays through October.

Step back in time to a slower-paced age of carriage rides and holiday festivities. Antique carriage rides through the park, entertainment, holiday items for sale and refreshments. The Antique Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides are $14 for adults/ $8 for children. The Holiday Horse-Drawn Hay Wagon rides are $10 for adults/ $6 per child. Rides will begin at 11 am and continue every half hour until 3:30 pm. Children 14 years and under must be accompanied by a guardian 18 years of age or older. Bring one hand-made ornament to decorate the tree in the barn.
