Join Henry Mercer’s favorite dog, Rollo, on a hands-on, interactive adventure in search of “escaped” animal artifacts from the museum’s collection. Along the way, children will encounter a curious collection of creatures – owl-shaped andirons, rocking horses, pottery dogs, rabbit chocolate molds, an alligator hand puppet, and many more. Designed especially for children ages 3 to 8.

You are invited to the nuptials of Buzz and Alma Gahner.  But don’t expect a typical wedding party.  The groom is late for the reception, and Alma is sick and tired of the negative influence of her new father-in-law.  Granny can’t remember what year it is, and Alma’s mom is terrified of desserts –including the wedding cake.  Ike, the wedding coordinator, is determined to keep everything running smoothly, but when a surprise guest makes an appearance, it all falls to hilarious pieces.  Be prepared to dance the chicken dance, catch the bouquet, or carry out a corpse during this deadly reception.

Peddler’s Pub is open to receive guests at 7:00 p.m. while guests should arrive by 7:30 for dinner.  Act I, of the show, begins at 8:00—dinner is served during intermission—followed by Act II—and dessert.  Guests arrive in the lobby of the Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant and are taken to the Pub. 

The inspiration for this talk came from Spiegelman’s introduction to his newest work, In the Shadow of No towers: Until 9/11 his everyday minor mishaps and traumas “were more or less self inflicted, but outrunning the toxic cloud that had moments before been the north tower of the World Trade Center left me reeling on the fault line where World History and Personal History collide.
