Join Henry Mercer’s favorite dog, Rollo, on a hands-on, interactive adventure in search of “escaped” animal artifacts from the museum’s collection. Along the way, children will encounter a curious collection of creatures – owl-shaped andirons, rocking horses, pottery dogs, rabbit chocolate molds, an alligator hand puppet, and many more. Designed especially for children ages 3 to 8.

Beginning in 1988, Michael Kenna photographed the Nazi concentration and extermination camps. His goal was to convey what he himself found impossible to forget about the camps: the inexpressible suffering of the victims that can only be hinted at by the haunting emptiness of the camps. These 88 images resonate a greater truth that challenges our collective conscience to avoid repeating this dark and sinister part of human history.

The James A.
