Join Henry Mercer’s favorite dog, Rollo, on a hands-on, interactive adventure in search of “escaped” animal artifacts from the museum’s collection. Along the way, children will encounter a curious collection of creatures – owl-shaped andirons, rocking horses, pottery dogs, rabbit chocolate molds, an alligator hand puppet, and many more. Designed especially for children ages 3 to 8.

“A Great Way to Meet New People.”  Join an experienced bird watcher every Saturday morning for early morning bird walks.  These walks are a great way to meet new people and enjoy casual conversation with other bird enthusiasts.  Bring along binoculars and a bird identification book, if you have them.

Join us for these Sunday in-depth programs that will delve into seasonal topics and will be presented by the CNC staff.  November 7th- Invasion of the Pods; December 12th- Evergreens; January 23rd- Insects in Winter; February 13th- Reading Tracks.

Saddle cloths, horseshoes and halters worn by Smarty Jones during such championships as the Preakness and Kentucky Derby; personal ticket stubs belonging to the Servis family; a 3-minute Smarty Jones highlights film sponsored by VISA; and various photographs of the award-winning horse will be on view.
